Hi everyone, I had brachytherapy for cancer of the cervix following a radical hysterectomy. Obviously I didn't have breast cancer but the side effects were cystitis, soreness and bleeding. This cleared up within a few weeks and although I get occasional spotting of blood following love making (I have a shorter vagina due to the surgery) I'm still cancer free after 3 years and on top of the world. If anyone is due to have brachytherapy please do not let the aforementioned news release put you off. Big love to all of you in the big C club Katy x
