Liver Cancer

3D Animation

This 3D medical animation illustrates where the liver is located in the body and its many functions.

You will also learn about how liver cancer is classified. For instance, primary liver cancer starts in the liver and secondary liver cancer spreads to the liver from another part of the body. You will see how hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common form of primary liver cancer, forms in liver cells and, with continuous growth, can cause cancerous tumors to form.

In addition, you will learn about the symptoms and risk factors of liver cancer. The animation ends with illustrations of the different treatment options for liver cancer, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

To see the liver cancer disease process for yourself, play the 3-D medical animation.
