I'm new on here. First of all I want to say my prayers are with you all. A little history, 1999, i lost my grandmother to Pancreatic Cancer, she lived only 2 weeks after being diagnosed, in 2000 i lost my younger brother, he was only 32, to lung cancer he lived only 4 months after being diagnosed, this past November 29th 2006 my dad was diag. with P/C, it had already spread to his Liver and Adrinal glands, doctores said with out Chemo, he would live about 2 months. And with treatment mayby 6 months.
He had a stent put in to help with the Juandace, later had his gallbladder taken out, he's lost alot of weight and is still losing. He has had 3 rounds of chemo so for, he is taking Gemzar. He is getting sick to the point where he sometimes throws up and he gags on his food alot. All his bllod work looks good according to the doctors. His tumor maker has come down showing he is responding to chemo. but he is so weak, he can walk from one room to another and is completely give out. My dad loves golf and he can't play anymore. The doctor was surprised at his last vist that he was so weak. He told him he could work, play golf do anything he wanted. but when you can't walk from the car into the office with out almost passing out something is wrong. Now my dad said his leg feels funny and has been for about 3 weeks now. He has a little limp and said it does not hurt just feels like he's losing control of it. Has anyone heard of this?
It's been 3 months since he was diag. and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect next. The doctors won't say.
