Bladder Cancer

Subject: Bladder Cancer
Date: 03/06/2007

My 13 year old beagle-spaniel Lady was diagnosed with bladder cancer last September; the ultrasound showed a 1.1cm mass in the front of the bladder - a good place to have it if you are going to have it as it doesn't block anything while it is small. Surgery was recommended and a prognosis of "Surgery will extend her life another year or so."

Not happy with the diagnosis, I had a friend of mne, who is a practitioner in radio-frequency biofeedback, test Lady and she came back with "Well, she has a mass in the bladder but it isn't cancer."

We changed the diet to meat and veggies - no grain products whatsoever, though we do treat her to an organic dog biscuit a couple times a week - knocked seven pounds off her that she had gained over the last five years, and made sure she got at least three to four walks per week.

We supplemented her diet with goldenseal, echinacea, CoQ10, grape seed extract and 500IUs of fish oils daily, and I went online to www.NativeRemedies.com and ordered C-Caps, a supplemental blend designed "to inhibit the growth of tumors, cysts and cancer in animals." She gets one of those daily in her meal.

I took her in this past week for a follow-up ultrasound, thinking, Well, maybe this cysts or whatever it is has rown only a quarter centimeter or so, that would be okay.... Surprise of surprises, it had SHRUNK nearly 65%! The vet downgraded her diagnosis to "inconsequential polyp" and said "Just keep doing whatever you are doing!"

Was it ever really cancer? Maybe, maybe not - but I didn't want to vet's first diagnosis to be the only diagnosis, and I am glad to searched for other methods of diagnosis and took a more natural approach. You just never know. Lady has more energy now than in the last 10 years - she bounces around, takes the stairs in our home two at a time, drags us when we walk - people think she's only four or five and even the vet said he wouldn't put her over 10 years old (she's almost 14).

Wanted to share - it was this message board where I believe I found the website for the C-Caps.... thank you and bless all of you who have ailing animals! I was so distaught and now I am so grateful, I thank God for the resultant good health of our pet.
