Hello- Well my mother was just diagnosed with 2 adrenal gland tumors. One is 4cm and the other is 3cm... right now she is getting her blood work worked up... We are scared. We just lost my dad 5 months ago to Prostate Cancer. Now this.

They found her tumors whenever they found 2 large benign tumors on her ovaries.

Hi Predrag,

My mom was dx with adenocortical cancer, cancer of the cortex of the adreanl gland, ( the outside of the gland)rare and aggressive.  I wished my mom had a pheo. it is  a tumor but it is encapsulated in the gland- the medulla the center of the gland.  It is usually always benign, and in rare cases if it were cancer, it would not spread becaause it is in the center of the gland, they remove the gland they remove the cancer. so you should do very well. I wish you luck. Keep us posted after your surgery.

Hello Predrag. By now you will have made an excellent recovery. Please continue to have regular check ups with your endocronoligist and live your life to the fullest. My son now aged 22 had his 5cm Phaeo removed four years ago. Only 10% are malignant. Unfortunatey he is one of the unlucky 10% and just before Christmas he was diagnosed with malignant phaeochromocytomas and has secondaries in the spine. He has just started on treatment of I-131 MIBG and is extreemly positive. He looks a picture of health and it is hard to believe that he has cancer. I would like to hear from any long term survivers of this condition.
