I am back again with another question.  Has anyone had liquid radiation for hormone refractory prostate cancer?  It would take the place of chemotherapy.  If so, what are the side effects and how successful was the treatment?

Liquid Radiation is using a Medicine called Metastron (Strontium /yttrium 90)  which preferentially goes to places of bone involvement.  It works better in general than chemo with few side effects although the blood counts need to be watched.  Patients generally have no side effects.  Medical oncologists are currently using Zometa to delay progression of bone mets, in my opinion too often, especially in Prostate wher the bone mets actually produce bone themselves. (blastic metatastsis).
