My husband has stage IV melanoma. He has had many surgical wounds. He had a cyst removed that turned out to not be cancer. It was the hardest of all to heal. It took lots of antibitics. They ended up packing it with seaweed and covering it with gauze. I started using antibacterial soap and a new pair of surgical gloves every time I changed it. He showered with anti bacterial soap and afterward I blew dry the wound. It closed up until only a q-tip would get the seaweed in and it took twezers to get it out. It cleared up amazingly quickly after that. The seaweed came from the surgeon. It comes in sheets that you cut to size. I also used alcohol on the sizzors and tweezers. I used paper breathable tape. The extra precautions cleared up in a week or two what had been there for months.

I used these Natural Bulk Items(purchased from natural supply store) to heal closed an amputated baby toe.  This is where my wife's melanoma started.

                                          People’s Paste

Mix equal amounts of dried products together, then remove a teaspoon of mix and put into a cup by itself.

African Cayenne Pepper (1 oz.)

Bentinite Clay (1 oz.)

Myrrh (1 oz.)

Golden Seal (1 oz.)

Slippery Elm (1 oz.)

Use any of these liquids to mix with dry product (above) to creamy (not to thin) applying to open wound area only:

Colloidal Silver (BEST to use)

Water

Honey

Cover wound with non-stick gauze gently.  The next day remove gauze, and run warm water over it for awhile.  The water will wash off what is loose.  Do not pick off any scab forming “Paste”.  If after washing off, the wound is showing, mix up some more paste and apply.  Repeat process daily until “Paste” scab is formed over wound.  Then let the “Paste” fall off on its own.

When applying the paste to the wound for the first time, it will feel warm to the area, due to the Cayenne Pepper.

If you have any other questions, I would go to this link: http://www.thesourcenatural.com/  If you call, ask for Karen.  And If decide to speak with her, be ready to write down information.  She is very knowledgeable.

A friend of mine who is older has had a diabetises open sore for approx. 40 years. She went into the hospital, and they put a suction machine on it(acts similar to the oldway of using maggots to remove the infection), and it is now healed. Hope it works for you.

Hyperbaric or oxygen chamber therapy is highly regarded for wound healing, especially deep tissue wounds, burns, slow-healing, etc.  You should also be taking HIGH levels of antioxidants, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, cranberry, gingko, etc. You should also consider taking "probiotics", which only a portion of are in yoghurt. Probiotics help your intestines battle the ravages of chemo and ongoing treatments, which all of us cancer patients have to endure, and which are  very debilitating over the long term. If I can help only one cancer survivor, I will be happy.

You must do your own research about supplements and alternative treatments for cancer treatment and wound healing on the Internet and in the library; your doctors will never tell you about anything like this; become self-enabled! Call your nearest major medical center or, preferably,  a university medical center, to inquire about hyberbaric wound therapy. I know someone who ripped his skin off down to the bone while climbing over barbed wire (yes, how stupid!!!!), and the second thing the hospital staff suggested was hyberbaric therapy. I had cancer with multiple recurrences for nine years, and I only wish I had Internet access nine years ago. Good luck!

Hi...The best thing I can offer you for wound healing is 'Manuka Honey'. I ordered it on-line and it healed up a sore that would not go away. Look it up and read all the info they give on it for wound care!!! Good luck...I hope you get better.

The link someone gave you is good but you might want to ad aloe vera liquid 2-4 ounces a day.  I had throat ulcers that would not heal and I used this liquid (Medication did not help) I also used it on my dogs sores that would not heal...so it is very good at giving the nutrients you need.  www.coatsaloe.com and it can also be used topically without harm.

All natural.

Hi there - just read your message. Hope I can be of some help. About 2 months ago, I had a bowel obstruction and had to be hospitalized. They operated on it. The wound site was draining pus and blood and doing well. A nurse was coming in each day to check the wound and bandage it up. She also said it was doing well. Then it opened up and started leaking again. Today, I saw my doctor and he said I had developed an abscess and have to see the surgeon tomorrow. I hope he can lance it in his office because I sure don't want to go in to the hospital again. So if the skin around your wound site is red, shiny, itchy, see your general practitioner and let him look at it. Good luck to you!
