EXPERT ADVICE NEEDED

Dear all,I live in Greece and my mother (age 56) has been diagnosed with stage iv PanCan on 17/1/2007 -(main cancer in the head of pancreas and 5 small spots in the liver - in different places) just 40 days after my father died of hart attack!!I was told that we had no luck of surviving and i was devastated. Fortunately my mom is in an excellent phsycological condition, because she does not know the statistics, and she told me that she is determined to survive. We also went to Paris, France, in a hospital called Paul Brauce that specializes in Pancreas and Liver problems. They told us that they can not perform an operation unless the liver spots dissapear or stabilise after chemotherapy. They gave us a chemotherapy protocol to follow in Greece and we were told to visit them in three months time. The chemotherapy consists of : 1)Tarceva - daily, 2)Gemzar -once a week combined with 3)Aloxi and Eloxatine. My mother has also done a Stend Operation and is currently under three per day insulin injections. She is quite active allthough many times she feels very tired for a short period of time. She is eating well, she is still going to her office every day driving on her own, and she does not feel any pain.We have just finished the first month of chemotherapy and next week we are going to have blood tests to measure the progress.I was just wondering if somebody has heard of the results of a similar treatment and if somebody can offer me advice about European hospitals or any other serious clinical trial In the U.S. Any advice will be appreciated,Thanks in advance.
