Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board. My father died of pancreatic cancer almost 6 months ago. He was a very fit individual, who lived an incredibly healthy life. He was diagnosed August 29, 2006 and died September 29, 2006, from rare complications after undergoing the Whipple Procedure.
We live in Canada, and while I was researching Pancreatic Cancer it became quite evident that very little support was available to Canadians in Canada. My Fathers plan was to change this when he was well enough. He was unable to do this so I have created an awareness site called Craig' Cause. (www.craigscause.ca)
I am posting the web site here, hoping that it may help others who have questions. This site is supported by a reputable surgeon, a major hospital in Nova Scotia and has already recieved much needed support. I hope that by posting it here, it may help others. Any feedback is appreciated. As stated, it is a work in progress and will continue to be revised and updated based on my on-going research and readings. Resourced used are referenced and may help others as well.
Please take a look. If you would like to submit your stories, please do so by the link at the bottom of each page.
I wish you all strenght, courage and hope to those who are fighting it our helping a loved one fight this horrible disease.
Sincerely,
Stefanie
