can anyone help with any answers ?

i just had a leep procedure about 3 weeks ago, due to hpv virus

i been in a relationship with my boyfriend for about 3 yrs , from my understanding and research, he has the hpv as well but there aren't any treatment for men, im scared to tell him, i have the hpv virus because men cannot get tested for it so he might think , i been with someone else and that is why i have it, my question is ?? if i dont tell him, can i just go on with my daily routine, but do i have to use a condom once im all healed down there?? would i catch the HPV again, if i don't use a condom with him, or am i suppose to use a condom after the leep procedure, we dont use a condom and he has never gave me anything out of the ordinary but the abnormal pap was something i had to get done before i met him and i just never did until now but would i have the HPV again , if we don't use a condom, im lost ! my doctor tells me to use a condom anytime, even with a boyfriend for so many years but he just doesn't understand , if your only with this person, its hard to just get up one day and use one, but would i catch the HPV again from him if i dont ?????

You can't catch HPV again because you already have it.  It's really hard to say rather or not he already had it.  80% of the human population has a form of HPV.  You have to use a condom after LEEP because fluids from the penis can cause an infection.  If you have a good doctor, i'm sure he wouldn't mind sitting down with you to answer any questions you may have.

I had a lot of questions before and after I had his procedure done. One was similar to yours. My doctor said if your having sex with the same guy you wont be catching any other types of HPV. He did say though you can still get it with a condom because of skin touching. So my concern would be if you have sex with your bf knowing that either one of you have it or you both have it, can you keep getting the same strand back which would lead to future leep procedures again? That was my only worry. I hope i gave you some insight or any info on this you could use. It sucks but if its the kind I have your body will fight it off on its own.

My best advice is to let you boyfriend in on it. If he isnt supportive when he could have given it to you to begin with, then why would you want to be with him? I dont see how you could go through all of this without him knowing anyway
