My message was interrupted when network disconnected. My husband was not diagnosed with PC until July of 2006 - due to many stressful situations in the family his diarrhea and weight loss were attributed to stress - 4 months later a CT scan revealed the truth. A whipple was ruled out due to new lesions in the liver. We moved south shortly after he was started on a regimen of Tarceva and Gemzar. That was continued here until new tumors in the liver emerged. We went to Duke and they recommended doing Xeloda alone and doing it here through our current oncologist. I was interested in reading one writer's tale of a loved one receiving Xeloda, Gemzar and Taxatere at one time and showing positive effects already. He tolerates new meds and chemos very well to this point. We live as normal a life as possible while taking all due precautions. Love to hear from others and happy to discover this site!

Hi Cindy,

I suggest you visit the Johns Hopkins support board and give it a try.  There is a lot of activity there from a lot of very knowledgeable, caring folks.  They are both patients and caregivers.  Also included is a list of bios giving patient's histories.  You will receive many answers to your request for information there.  Best of luck to your spouse.  Peace.  Joan
