How do those of you with children handle them? My daughters are 20, 12 and 8. We found out last August that my husband has cancer of the ileum. He had it removed and has been on oxyplaten and 5fu treatments since. Last week we found out that either it hadn't all been removed or there is a local recurrence.
My oldest daughter is out of the house and this is her step-father, so she is shielded a bit.
My youngest daughter is basically unaware. She knows her dad is sick and that he is sometimes at the clinic for treatment.
My middle daughter has been aloof and very closed mouthed.
Any suggestions for any of the three? We live in Oklahoma. I haven't found any local support groups.
