Hello everyone!!My name is Mike and My son Keegan was diagnosed with A.l.l in may 2003...He has remmissed and relapsed and is fighting the good fight...In the duration of his treatments I have found great therapy in humor...It might sound strange..but true nonetheless...My wife handles all of the and appointments and doctor relations because 1)Shes a major control freak.. 2)I am not very bright.... 3)I trust doctors....she does,but with a much more intense level of scrutiny..so,while she goes impatient and runs our son (over a fever)to the ER..I take the information that she provides to me and turn it into a funny slogan...or a cartoon...or even an inspirational saying...we've built up a collection..and we still have alot more to put up on a t-shirt or bumper sticker...to share it with other cancer Moms and Dads...I have a job..but I do have a hard time meeting my familys needs..so I thought to open a store at www.cafepress.com/kidscancer
There could be some funny thing over there that you...as cancer families too, could relate to...I got all of my inspiration from all those doctors visits that my son and wife go through...when she would come home, She would tell me something funny,and she would say,"hey you should draw a picture of that!"And I would..we would put up a cartoon on my sons caring bridge page..and people(other cancer parents)would tell us how they enjoyed them...My sons caring bridge page is http://www.caringbridge.org/co/keegan/ even if you just want to go to the store and cheer up a little it would be worth it to me....I hope you visit and find a smile ...It's really the reason I do what I do...Thanks ,and God Bless all of these who fight this fight.
