Hi,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there that is being treated for fallopian tube cancer right now that just needs to vent.  I'm being treated for the 4th time in just over 5 years and I would love to be able to "talk" with someone who could relate.

Hello,

Im a Breast cancer survivor now for 14 years.  My mother had ovarian cancer and my younger sister age 43 now has Pertinal Stage IIl Cancer that started in the fallopian tube. I know that you are scared because we have been there.  We just wanted to let you know that we will be praying for you.  We have found that God has given us a peace that we can not explain.  It seems that by trusting in Him we have the strength to make it thru the difficult days. I do not know what type of treatment that you are on.  My sister had to do a complete hystorectomy, a procedure called debulking and has to take 6 treatments of carboplatimum and taxol.  It makes her pretty tired but she is on Zofran for the sickness which she has only experienced once.  She also takes two shots per treatment to build red and white Blood Cells.  She is doing well.  Her CA 125 has come from 97.7 down to 11.4 which is in the normal rang, 30 being normal.   Keep your chin up Cancer can be beaten.  Medicines and treatments have come so far since I had my Cancer.  I know that the tiredness is a complete bumer, but it will get better. The important thing is keep all of your check ups , self awarness is your best friend.  If something dont feel right have it checked out.  This will give you peace of mind.  I have to get back to work.

Just want you to know that you are an inspiration to me.  I have been undergoing treatment for 16 months and I am impressed that you have done so well.  It gives me hope.  And yes, I am tired, scared and sad, but keep on trying to find things to do that are uplifting (difficult some days).  I am currently interested in the movie/ book "The Secret."  Don't know if it really works but it does give me motivation to have as positive an outlook as possible.

Hi Evangeline.....'THE SECRET' was just recommended to me this week and I plan on getting a copy. I would like to recommend one as well that I am reading at this time and I am so impressed with it. It is 'PEACE, LOVE & HEALING" by Dr. Bernie S. Siegel. It is about the mind/body connection. I have been using techniques such as these that you will learn about from these two books along with deep breathing exercises and visualizations for the past few years and they are truly effective. Here's a website you might find of inerest on the same subject. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6038621/site/newsweek/
