I read your post and I am wishing you all the luck in the world. My mom was just diagnosed yesterday with Bartholiln Gland cancer and we are currently waiting to see the gyn oncologist.

If you don't mind me asking...How long had you noticed the cyst before getting it checked out?

How is treatment going? I hope all is going well!!

I actually didn't notice the cyst until late October of 2006. I was diagnosed after exploratory surgery on December 15, 2006. However, I had been bleeding since April of 2005. I was examined by my primary care doc, two urologist's, then a regular gyn doc. Finally one of the urologist and the gyn doc did the exploratory surgery in Dec. and took a biopsy. The cyst may have been there for some time and I just didn't notice it.

I am done with my treatment, surgery and radiation, and am feeling really good. If you would like to know more details about the surgery and radiation just send me a message. I don't check this email very often but I will try to be more diligent about it.

I noticed the cyst about 18 mos. after the first episode of blood. I finished my treatments (surgery & radiation) in late April 2007. I am feeling good and other than some soreness still in the vaginal area I am doing well.
