I had a biopsy which came back as "not definitive."  I now have a hysteroscopy scheduled.  In the report read to me by my dr., I heard "endometrial hyperplasia" which I know is not uncommon, but I also heard MORULAR METAPLASIA.  I'm so scared of the latter.  I keep surfing and finding morular with Squamous.  I am assuming I have cancer and I know I will be the biggest coward ever if I have it.  Has anyone had this kind of report and had favorable outcome?  Thank you if you take the time to answer.

Hi I see you were diagnosed with Morular Metaplasia.   I am 52 and had a biopsy done and it says endometial tubal Metaplasia with sloughing.  I am so confused I went to see 3 doctors.  The first one who is a professor and teaches at one of the hospitals here in nyc says I need to take provera or prometrium for 12 days.  If not i will get cancer? And he said if it keeps recurring I will have to take it 3 or 4 times a year until all this subsides??  The second doctor didn't say anything at first but when I told him what the first doctor says he went along.  The doctors wants to slough off whatever is building up in the uterus.  I went to the 3 doctor and he said he does not belive in hormones because of breast cancer and wants to do a laparascopy which i had one 5 yrs ago when i was diagnosed with endometriosis.  He said he wants to go in and see for himsself whats going on, and do another d&c.  I just had one done this past november for prolonged staining.  I don't know what to do exactly I hope SOMEONE on this site can help guide me?   Lily
