hello 6 weeks ago i had a ca 125 lecel of 64. i had a cyst and an ovary removed. the cyst was benign.. My ca 125 levele is now 69. My doctor has orderd a ct scan of chest/abdomen and pelvis . Could some other form of cancer than ovarian cause an elevated ca 125?

When are you scheduled to have your CAT scan?

I had a ca125 test done early last week and it showed to be the high side of normal.  My MD wanted to do a cat scan anyway, though my ca 125 levels are really within the normal range.

My symptoms are 1) unexplained weight gain 2) severe pain in my lower right quadrant 3) swelling in my abdomen 4) frequent urination 5) night sweats 6) lower back pain 7) feeling of having a side ways pregnancy on the right side

I am curious to know what a cat scan will show and what exactly the doctor is looking for.  he says we will redo the ca 125 in one month and see what the levels are.

I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Please post if you find out any info from your cat scan.  Also curious as to what your symptoms were.
