My husband is morbidly obese and has diabetes for a year. In his blood tests it showed that his protein is low. The case nurse said that sometimes they bring in patients and give them albumin.
She noticed the low protein, the doctor who we saw did not. He has had other problems such as low potassium but we increased his supplement to two a day and changed his diuretics. Is there anything he could take for his protein. If I leave it to him he would just eat more, and that in itself would not be good or even give him the proper amt. of protein. The oral chemo. he is on is Thalidomide, he is not on steriods as of December.
Thanks,
Colleen
