Subject: Other young women diagnosed?
Date: 04/06/2007

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in January '05 when I was 27 years old.  I had a conservative treatment with progesterone and currently still have my uterus, with a progesterone IUD and take birth control pills to control my hormone levels.  I have an endometrial biopsy every 6 months to check for recurrence. This will continue until I either have children or decide I don't want to have children, at which point I will then have a hysterectomy.  I was just looking for others who have any similar experience, or experience trying to conceive after endometrial cancer.  Thanks.

Carrie

Hi Carrie!

I was diagnosed in Sep 06.  I was 32, and was going to start having children when I was delivered the bad news.  Mine was Grade I, and my Gyn Onc suggested hormone therapy (megestrol) to preserve fertility.  My last biopsy after hormone treatment was negative.  I had another biopsy yesterday, and crossing my fingers the results will be good.  I am currently trying to have kids, and will consult with an infertility expert to expedite the process.  I will let you know the outcome.
