weel, im waiting for my date with the chemo doctor and radiation doctor, im not sure if this is the correct way to go, but i havent had any disagrements with any of them, has any one done this bladder sparing route. Chemo with cisplatin, and 5 weeks of rsdiation, im 51 and in fair shape, quit smokes and have changed my diet. Any input would be appriciated

The conservative route has the same cure rate, with a 70 to 80 percent chance of maintaining a functional bladder.  If you don't respond completely then you haven't lost anything since if you had surgery upfront then you would get post op Chemo Rads anyway.  This just gives you a chance to save your bladder.

Yes, i had it removed first, so im hoping for a good result from the chemo and cisplatin
