I am new to the board, but not to cancer.. My wife had breast in 05 and had mastectomy in 06. We fought this thing together and she finally came to grips with it and I had a melanoma removed from my chest in 06 and thought we "got it all"..then it was found in my R armpit so I had all the nodes removed and had to face some kind of treatment..was told the horrors of Interforon and wound up in a clinical trial called MouseGP100 down at Mem Sloan Kettering after almost 3 months I found another lump under my L arm and now I dont know whether I can continue the Vaccine trial or have to come back to Dana Farber for some other form of treatment. I feel very calm at the moment and worry more about my wife and how she will cope, even though the kids will look after her I am sure!
I hope we let everyone know that they MUST use the sun-screen and heed my Dermotologist's advice she gives me at every tratment seen above.
