3 Year Old Beagle...Getting Cancer Test Back Today

What a long day.   I'm awaiting the tests back to determine if my dog has bladder cancer.   I took him in because of the urination frequency and color.   He did have a bladder infection, but they also did an ultrasound and found a mass along the neck of the bladder.   I've been reading about it and it doesn't sound good.   Seems like all the information i find shows that herbal stuff works just as good as chemo.   Please pray for a miracle as i will know the results this afternoon.   Any information or links you have will be greatly appreciated.    How long can dogs live with bladder cancer anyway?

Given the history, it might just be a "stump pyometra" which is a persistent infection at the place where the uterus was tied off.  This sits just above the bladder neck and can look like a mass.  It can result in smelly vaginal discharge.   If this is the case, they will just remove the stump (it is a abscess) and put the dog on antibiotics.  It would be uncommon for a 3 year old dog to have a bladder tumor, especially a beagle.  Try not to worry.

got the test back.   it is TCC (forgot to mention that he's a male and 3 yrs old).   isn't that crazy!   they've prescribed Piroxicam and given him maybe a year to live with it.   It's low grade and 2cm x 1cm?????  i'm thinking about trying Graviola...i'm finding good things on the internet but not sure i trust everything i find there.   if anyone has any links or information on graviola i would love you bunches:-)    thanks so much for the support.

so sorry to read about your news.. going through the same thing with my 4 1/2 year old cocker spaniel Betty.  She is having an operation tomorrow to hopefully remove the tumor.  Can't think any further than that.
