I have Stage 4 small cleaved B-cell low grade NHL. I was diagnosed 7 1/2 yrs. ago. I recently was diagnosed with Stage 2 (maybe 3) Hodgkins Disease. I am told this is pretty rare. I just started chemo yesterday. They are using ABVD. I get 2 on week 1 and the other 2 on Week 3. Has anyone had personal experience with this regimen?

I have just finished my second course of ABVD. I receive all 4 drugs in one session every 2 weeks. I have been following the advice from How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Drs. Michael Murray, Tim Birdsall, Joseph Pizzorno and Paul Reilly. This is really an excellent book written by 4 of the docs at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and I highly recommend all with cancer get a copy. I find using the recommended nutritional supplements (Chapter 13 - Natural Strategies for Support Before, During and After Chemotherapy), I get by with about 1 bad day of nausea and 3-4 mild days and then feel pretty good until the next round. Guess I will have to wait and see what accumulative effects the chemo has on my well being.

I am not taking the polyerga or the shark liver oil (to keep white blood counts up) because I am not sure if they might also stimulate the lymphocyte cell line. With lymphoma, might not want to stimulate the lymphocytes, so until I get word that these 2 blood building supplements won't stimulate the cancer cells, I am leaving them alone.
