Subject: Trcks to get Teddy to eat graviola
Date: 04/21/2007

We have prepared a "cancer friendly" mixiture (home cooked) for our Teddy but we are unable to get him to eat anything that has the Graviola (ourt of the capsule) on it. We have to be concerned as well that we do not feed him anything that will contribute to the growth of the crystals that he still has in his urine.

We were told that we should not give him a capsule (ie force it down 3 times daily) as this concentration could be hard on his stomach. So we have been trying to sprinkle it onĀ  his food. We even tried to cut small squares of whole wheat bread and soak it in a solution of a bit of water and the Graviola and then try to hide this chunk in a bit of meat - no luck - he knows he is being "tricked"

Teddy is an 11 year old Cockapoo and we were thinking that we might try to hide a capsule in a veggie weiner or something that he would love and feed it to him twice a day after his meal (the new mixture) rather than 3 times a day that is suggested. The graviola capsules are 450 mg. We also have him on 5mg of prioxicam.

He is finally sleeping through the night - 2 nights running - so it looks like the prioxicam is "kicking in". Thank God.

Please let us know if anyone out there has any other ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Teddy's mom - Dallas
