Misty Living With Tcc- 18 Months

Records 1-1 of 1
Subject: Misty living with TCC- 18 months
Date: 04/22/2007

I have been reading the messages daily now for awhile.  Misty was diagnosed in Oct. 2005. She has been taking Prioxicam since the beginning and then we have been doing acupuncture and herbs as well as cottage cheese with flax.  Someone asked about diet.  I feel diet is very important and she has been on Cowboy Cookout by Merrick foods-can and dry.  This was recommended by the holistic vet.  She did very well for over a year.  She has been having up and down days for the last few months.  I have a write-up about her on the web that tells more about what we have done since the start until Feb. 2007.  You can read about it at:  http://home.earthlink.net/~texas2step/MistysJourney.html

She is now having seizures and we think the cancer has spread to her brain as she has lost some of her vision and she is getting weaker and having to urinate more and more.  She is still eating and is able to get up (although very hard for her to do this, but once up can walk ok).  She is whining more at night and pacing a lot.  For those of you who have been through this, did anyone experience this?  Because she is still eating and getting around and wagging her tail we feel she still wants to be around, but it is getting hard to see her so tired all the time and confused because she can't see too well.

PS- For Ryle's mom- is Ryle still with you?
