My 67 year old father was diagnosed just yesterday with pancreatic cancer. They are telling us that surgery is not an option. After a needle biopsy today, we are expecting to find out he course of chemotherapy tha the doctor recommends. He has absolutely nobe of the symptoms that are typically associated with this cancer. He went into the hospital because of his diabetes. His blood glucose level was high and they started him on insulin. A very proactive doctor insisted he have a CT scan which showed a mass on his pancreas, followed by a MRI.
We want to fight this as aggessively as possible, and I'm looking for any advice or information from anyone who may have had a similar circumstance with someone who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but is exhibiting no symptoms. We don't want any treatment to make him sick when he is feeling great already!
Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you!
