Md Anderson

My dad is considering going to MD Anderson in Texas.  Has anyone been treated there?  Is is difficult to get in?  Do they take most insurance plans?  How was your experience?  Was it good?

They are one of the top cancer centers in the world and doing a lot of work with bile duct cancer.

my mom went there for a second opinion after her surgery at a crummy place in southern california. That crummy place did the surgery believing it was a benign tumor which is why they didn't check the lymph nodes but we were not told it was actually cancer five days after the surgery.  And it turned out to be linitis plastica which is the worst kind of stomach cancer. She said the MDAnderson was amazing.  She would have probably still been alive had she gotten her original surgery there.  I think they take on PPO.  My mom had Blue cross.

MD Anderson takes most insurance companies.

I would highly recommend MD Anderson.  I was just there two weeks ago.  The people there are wonderful!!
