Hi Kiku33,

I have not yet tried Rexin-G; just about confirmed that my Gemzar and Olaxilaplatin (GEMOX) is not working.  There seems to be two different radiological opinions regarding stability or instability of my lungs from my most recent scan.  My CA19-9 clearly indicates a pattern of increasing levels, however.

Began discussions for a new clinical trial called CapTere (Capcetibene and Taxotere).  It looks pretty scary and there doesn't seem to be much benefit--the only assuarnce is for sickness and developing other cancers over time.

Next, I will consider Tarceva--this drug looks interesting and perhaps beneficial; essentially, this drug specifically targets the cancer cells.

I will try to let you know the results of my decision shortly after deciding.

If anybody has experience with any of the above treatments,  I would very much appreciate your experience, thoughts and ideas.

Hello, Kiku33. I assume you read Japanese because you referred to chemo as "KOUGANZAI." Hope you find the following links useful. If you do not read Japanese, the list of institutions and the number of patients treated is mostly in English, and if you scroll down you will find some articles in English. http://blog.so-net.ne.jp/meek935/ A recurrent non-small cell lung cancer patient reported CR after 2 cycles of Rexin-G in combination with pemetrexed (Alimta) + platunum chemotheraphy. http://ip.tosp.co.jp/Kj/Tospi200.asp?I=inu20066&P=0&Kubun=V5
