My mom was diagnosed with radiation pneumonitis after
breast cancer radiation therapy. She was put on predisone for over
a month.coughing and breathing problems improved. CT scan
showed marked improvement and pneumonitis diminished. Steriods tappered and symptoms worsen. Could anyone shed any
light on this topic. Did anyone every fully recover from this side effect of radiation. Or is she in for a life of lung problems. Please
advise. Frustrated.
