Hello to all
I'm 59 and was diagnosed with MF in 1990, spleen removed 1991, I'm transfusion dependent every six weeks. Procrit 3 times weekly. I have suffered 3 strokes over the last 10 years. I've done well considering.
I'm a Vietnam Veteran and 100% disabled from diabetes. Still fighting the VA over MF. Ihave done extensive research on the net and will establish a website in the near future- today is May 9, 2007 hope to have it up by end of June. I don't know a lot about computers, but have lots of help.
Do you know if any others with MF are Veterans? If so, I might help them with VA.
I pray for all affected, but with the proper care you can endure. Having this for over 20 years ( several before diagnosed-spleen removed in 91 over 4 lbs)
Keep the faith, fight the good fight, get many doctors (on/hemo) opinions and do what they recommend.
Medications: allopurinol, asprin, plavix, agrylin, procrit, lopid, glimpiride, coreg, hydrea, metformin, quinine, omperazole.
GOD SPEED
