My ex-husband was just diagnosied with cirrhosis of the liver/liver cancer.
He has not shared much info with me because he does not want me to worry. He did tell me he is going in the hospital to have his tennis ball sized tumor shrunk. I am not for sure how they do that. I am thinking maybe with chemo or radiation. If someone has information or knows, please let me know
hi..
my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer last oct 2006 known cirrhotic patient and hepatitis B. his mass was as big as a cup. since hes liver was currhotic they could not resect it anymore and all they did was chemo embolization straight to the liver ( w cancer). Was treated also with nexavar. unfortunately my dad did not make it and passed onlast april 25. tell your ex husband to seek atleast 2nd opinions and best treatment options.
hope this helps. good luck
There is a treatment called Therasphere. Check it out at www.therasphere.com. My dad has had some luck with it, however, there is nothing that can really be done abut cirrhosis.
Good luck, and stay positive!
