Approximately 4 years ago, on routine physical exam, I had PSA value of 5 and was suggested to have biopsy which I did with a finding of cancer cells. However, I chose to use "intelligent watchful waiting". Since then my PSA has varied from as low as 4 to as high as 9, with changes of nearly that magnitude within a weeks time. I have no symptoms of infection or any other condition that would elevate PSA. My question, is there anyone else out there who has these fluctuation in their PSA values?

I have recently been diagnosed with PC. Had a biopsy after my PSA went from 2.7 to 5.5 (over 1 year period). Am presently examining my options: watchful waiting and a possibility of radioactive seed implants when I start to see some documented results of seed implantation. Am looking for info on the above. Just read an article about Univ of Wash-new procedure using cesium (sp) rather than Radioactive Iodine--very interesting. Am hoping to learn more-especially documentation of post-op etc.

I guess nobody else has experienced this problem.
