New Help With Sweats

I have been off all aromatase therapynow for 2mths., Idid take Megastrol for sweats which was my main problem. I no longer have megace, but still have sweats able to cope better during the day. waking up during the night just getting back to sleep another sweat, I wonder if Witch doctor could give advice on anything to help . I know to stay away from Estrogen, Antidepressants? do they really help sweats or just the patient to cope, ? have tried Chillow Pillow, no help for me, is this just my lot?

I am new to this message board, so I just read your message. I have found Effexor (a low-dose anti-depressant) to be EXTREMELY helpful with sweats. I take 37.5 mg twice a day. This was prescribed to counteract the side-effects of Tamoxifen.

Yes, the antidepressants do help with the hot flashes. It does not eliminate them completely, but they ae better.
