My father, IIIb MM, has started with jaw bone deteriation (loose teeth) and I read a post from a couple of patients that this has happened to who were on Zometa or Aridia. I don't know if this is due to just the MM attacking the bone in the jaw or if it's his "bone strengthening drip" that he has once a month. The dentist said there was nothing he could do about it and it was for sure caused by some of the meds. The once a month bone drip he takes is either Bortezomib or Zoledronic. (Got these from my mother) He's also on his second round of Velcade and Doxil. Has anyone had bone loss from the two bone drips I mentioned? And if you have, Did it get any better when you backed off of the drip? My fathers 70 and never had any problems with his teeth until now.
