It seems like I am on here asking questions more frequently all the time. This site has been a big help to me. Especially the Witch doctor. My husband has hormone refractory prostate cancer and it is in his bones and the doctor told me yesterday that it is in the bone marrow although they have not done a test to prove that. Blood counts are changing now and they did a lab test called Erythropoietin. The reference range shows it should be 4.2 -27.8 and his came back at 137. They said they could not give him an injection to help his red blood cells because this came back too high. What does this really mean? His last psa was 2177.38 and he is not taking chemo but is still on hormone injections. His bones have been hurting more all the time too. Some days he feels really good and continues to be active most of the time. He seldom sits around in his chair. Trying to make some decisions about some things. How much time do we have to work with?
