Effectiveness Of Cancer Diets

I am a student in Tasmania, doing an Advanced Diploma in Nutrition. I am looking for people that have cancer that have started a cancer diet. I would like to get information on the nature of your diet, why you started it and how effective you feel it has been for you. Maybe I can forword this to my sisters since I do not know everything my brother is taking. He has stage four pc they found it in July. when I heard he could not eat. I sent him Tathition Noni and the complete cancer cleanse book that I just had picked up a few just because. No one had cancer at the time. I have been watching gary nulls for years on pbs. I have a few of his dvds too and several of his books! My brother was not able to eat for several weeks. He was doing the atkins diet. And always did everything else soy.. He does live in the LA area. I also had the video and book by dr colbert of juice fasting. I sent him liquid vitaimins and alova with herbs and I sent him the powders juices like ruby reds and green royals and protien shakes form noni and the extracs for energy and for relaxing.I also sent him stress reduction 3d cd to listen too and religion tapes and cd. And coral calcium and vitaim b complex and some emzines.
Later I sent him Ester c that I heard and have taken it form dr pericone. And then went threw books and started getting as much antioxidents I could find. like pine bark and grapeseed extrac.shark carl. and the mushroom and the turmen and algee. What he is taking I have no clue. My sister started him on cleasing jucing as in the juice book by gary null and then my husband went there and said he could have meat since its in the bible cancer cure book. even after I told him he has to JUICE because this is a digistive cancer and it needs to be pre digisted for him so he can get as much in him as he can. He was taking whey protien because he is waisting. We can not get enough into him because he has fluid producing around the pancreaus 6 quarts a week thats 8 pounds. He does not keep up with things more than a week. He thinks he should be well or he just get tooooo tried.

I did buy the Dr day program for him also. I have not watched the tapes but another of my brothers bought the set too. And he has watched them.
My brothers daughter got him the transfer factor and some other thing. I told them to get him fish oil also.
I also just got him Dr gernsons book. He says 8 oz of fresh veg juice every hour.. I bought the gary null cds on cancer whats the answer.

Why are we all pushing for him to change his diet. Watched my grandmother waist away from chemo and radiation in the 80s. No cancer but she died of phnuema(SP) I wish he would go to nutrictionlize or homapathic... I sent him all the stuff before they said he had cancer. I wanted him to be strong enough to be able to take on the chemo. But I read someones mother on the yahoogroup has no cancer with diet alone. Stage four Pc. Drinking the noni did help right away because he was not able to eat or keep anything down until he started drinking one bottle a day for four days then half a bottle a day for eight days and then eight oz for 30 days. He never got threw the eight oz for 30 days. he gave up. Doesnt want to take the whey anymore. doesnt want to juice anymore. All these things take time to help..Everything given was proven to help. He has been taking chemo to no avail.

My husband was diagnosed with Colon CA with mets to the liver and bone. He lost 60 plus pounds within 6 months. I am in W.Australia and have cancer and have been on a diet with other non conventional treatment which has been working well for me for the past year. Suddenly it has all gone wrong and my body has turned very acidic, result of me not sticking as firmly to the diet, I wonder?? If you want more contact me. Jessie

I am in Sydney, and work in a radiotherapy department. We have in- house dieticians, but they mainly concentrate on nutrition to "get through" the treatment. As for alternative diets that people may be using during cancer treatment- you may want to check with the WP Holman Clinics at Hobart and Launceston- they may know what has been popular or be able to ask the patients for you- just a thought.

My father has got intrahepatic bile duct cancer. We live in Beijing. He is on diet in the Chinese way. Plus he is taking Chinese medicine. Can you tell me more about the specifics of the Cancer Diet you are refering to? James.

We live in USA. We have a doctor from Tawan and he has built supplementation that is unique. It is whole food and very good at beating cancer.
You eat a normal diet. Losts of vegetables and fruits.
We feel like this helped us get through the surgery.
I have seen people in worse shape than we were and they are doing well also.
Many of the supplements he uses are like the cancer treatment supplements. However, he has some that they don't have. He also sets up a regiment for each specific person. Sever cancer people get lots of things to take.
