I am fairly new to this board and helping my husband battle cancer naturally.
What really gets me, is when I read through the postings, I read the phrase, "my son failed chemo, I failed chemo." How can a person fail at medical treatment? Isn't it more that the chemo failed to help this person. The word "failed" is such a negative term. Maybe it is time we start holding these drugs, the drug makers, and the people who administer these drugs accountable for their failure. After all, teachers in America are so scutinized and evaluated in teaching students. If there is a student who is failing, the system indicates it is the teacher's fault.
In addition, when my husband was first diagnosed, one of the first things the doctor did was to pass a piece of paper to him saying that he had a 30% chance of surviving 5 years. It was like being handed a death sentence. My husband will survive to a ripe old age and part of this is because he has a good belief system and is optimistic.
I also don't know why people do not understand that cancer is a symptom of an underlying problem of nutrition and the foods our society eats. Please stop giving your loved ones ensure. It has way too much sugar. Don't feed the cancer, starve it with vegetable juices.
Eat healthy, live long,
Lynne
