Subject: lupron shot & pregnancy

i have taken one shot of the lupron depot. i went in the other day to get the second shot and i wound up being pregnant. i was wondering if anyone knew the effects of the shot on the unborn child. my doctor said i should be fine but i am still very concerned.

Lupron is in the FDA pregnancy category X. This means that Lupron is known to cause birth defects in an unborn baby.   I suppsose if your 1st shot had run out and you didnt get the second then perhaps the fetus wasnt exposed to very much or for very long.  Depends on when conception occured .  I think you could tell your doc you know it could be a problem and ask him to explain why he thinks it isnt.
