Subject: Femara side effects

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer (ILC) a few years ago. they said the caught it early, had double mastectomy and was put on tamoxifin. A year or so later she returned for CT and had full blown mets to her liver. she did the minimum chemo rounds, shrank a little. But she didn't like how sick it made her feel so elected to look elsewhere. She had a checkup recently and they started growing again, was put on femara. She feels horrible!! She doesn't want to take any painkillers, anyone have any advice of other things that have worked, natural things perhaps?

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.  I have been doing lots of research because I have three family members suffering from cancer.  If you search pubmed.org you will find that artesunate has been proven effective in destroying liver cancer cells.  Artesunate has been used for years as an anti-malaria treatment.  It is a derivative of the plant artemisia annua and has been found to be very effective against many types of cancer cells.

OIther useful treatments to research on pubmed are: agrimonia, which increases the white blood cells which fight cancer, Cats Claw has a similar action, Berberine kills cancer cells, Quercetin is a powerful anti-oxidant.

I hope this helps.
