Hi all.
I was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the left lung in August of 2001. I had 18 infusions of carboplatin, 15 brain radiation cessions, 20 (or so) chest radiation cessions and more suffering from all that than most people could understand.
Approximately 18 months later, feeling weak and ill, I was informed that my latest scan showed a recurrentlesion. This time, my right lung.
Now, I checked out cancer.gov at the time and the only treatment for recurrent small cell was "CHEMO to reduce pain". A chilling thought. I immediately checked out several alternatives. Luckily, I discovered the Issel's Clinic.
I spent 4 weeks in the Issels Clinic in Mexico. It is located in a beach community outside Tijuana.
Almost immediately I felt much improved just from the diet and vitamins. Then the treatments started, detox, Laetril, C, Coley's Toxin, Dendritic cell treatments, Issel's vaccine.
My follow up scan in the clinic showed my small recurrent tumor was gone. I continued the treatment to completion.
I have been in complete remission from recurrent small cell since March of 2003. My oncologist here keeps doing scans looking for that tumor. He is sure it must still be there. It isn't.
