Subject: do I have the bone cancer?

In 1996 i'd a tumor on my tibia bone. its become so bigger like a half of oval, attach to my tibia at my left leg. the tumor crush the fibula bone n it causing painful in that area.. the tumor causing the fibula bent crooked and if the tumor not get off the fibula bone will cracked. in 1996, i am 9 years old at that moment. The tumor had cut away in 1996. After 12 years away, i feel the pain again in the same area. I go to the hospital to make a x-ray and the bone is growing again but not as big as the first tumor. now i am 19 years old. i will feel the pain in the tumor area  in the cold condition, also when i stand up too long. i had met the expert doctor of the ortopedic and the doctor said its just the normal effect of the operation done in 1996. and he just give me the cream to release the pain. He said the bone will stop to grow becuse now my age is almost to 20. i am so confusing why i still fell the pain after 12 years operation?

Hey,

From what I know it is always a good idea to get a second opinion and an x-ray. Doctors get things wrong so its always fine if you want someone else to take a look. If this is the first time you have been experiencing pain in 12 years since the operation, I too would think its not related - so best to get it checked.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
