anyone there who's had liver vancer for more than a year?

You make Me sound so strong, I am just like the rest of us on this site just trying to keep a little normal in my life. I do not work every day and when I have fare up I don't or I should say I can't. I was on antibiotic for really bad colds.

WOW!!!!! I decided to check the message board replies and was overwhelmed at all of the responses! You all have made my day! We had to take my husband to the ER on the 4th and they kept him over5night...had been sick (vomitting and stomack pain) for about 2 weeks but on the 4th it was just too much...He couldnt even hold doen a sip of 7up. All day he soooo sick and my 3 year old kept asking me why Daddy was throwing up and how come his eyes were so red...Breaks my heart. We also have a 15 month old.  Anyway they gave my husband fluids and nausea meds and morphine for pain...I put an annointed hankerchif under his matress and stayed the night with him at the hospital...Later that night he started feeling better and wanted to finally eat!!! Prayer answered! We got to go home that morning....(him being sick had nothing to do with treatment)

Anyway, We have been trying and pushing for him to get SIRsheres again, and it's been a battle...BUT as soon as we got home our docs called and said we were approved to do it!!!!!!!! YEA!!!! AND the insurance people who told us a week ago that it was gonna take 30 days to get  it approved with them called and said everythhing was a go!!!! Another miracle!!!We are elated! Unbelievable!

I have been wanting to check out NExavar...But the oncoligist told us that it wasnt any more effective than adriamyacin...which we did 1st..and it didnt do ANYTHING>>> Can you tell me what all you think about it?  Cuz it seems to keep popping in my head as an answer.....This sound crazy but I truly have love for all of you that are going through this too.....THANK YOU AGAIN for your messages!   B

Try homeopathy as an alternate treatment. My mother is suffering last three years and has survived on modern medicine and homeopathy. She is Child C patient with very low rate of survival. Still we have managed to pull her this far. She was diagnosed in april 2004 with 3-6 months survival rate. She suffers from HCC with multiple nodules of liver cancer. Thru radio frequency ablations, TACE and Homeopathy we have managed to improve her quality of life and overall health. How far this will go, i am not sure but definitely homeopathy can help  lot. In fact whatever i have seen, i recommend homeopathy as an supplement to cancer treatment including hepatitis. Unfortunately the doctors parctising modern medicine have no idea how homeopathy operates and hence dont encourgae paitreints to seek alternate help.

I have been messaging on this site. You must have just missed my messages. I am doing OK, 2years of latest treatments and surgery was 4 years ago. No I am on Nexavar for about 13 weeks. There alot of side affects but counts have gone down and tumors in lungs have gotten smaller.

What stage of liver cancer did you have?  I am recently diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer which orginated as Endometrial cancer 2 years ago.    I am wondering how the treatments go.  I think I am going to be on Chemotherapy in the near future.  Can you tell me anything about it?
