My mom had the Whipple in December and her incision is not yet healed due to infections and chemo.  Her surgeon can't believe they have not started radiation.  The radiation doctor refuses to start until the incision is totally closed.  Any opinions on who is right?  Thank you so very much.

I will try again...I'm not sure you got my last email. My mom had a whipple procedure 7 mo's ago. She opted out of chemo/radiation. Her cancer came back full force and now we are counting the days. PC is a deadly cancer and if you read the emails you will see a pattern of about a year and no matter what they did the cancer came back. My mom is a retired nurse and some how she new what was right.  She had a productive life within the past 7 months and now we are preparing for her death. Because she did not have radiation/chemo she was  able to enjoy her last year. This is our experience but I hope you will make the right decisions for her well being.God bless. Your family is in our prayers.

Thx for your reply!  It's been 8 months since my mom's diagnosis and all tests show no signs of cancer (so far).  I know its a horrible, fatal disease.  But on the bright side in my Pancreatic Cancer support group there is one survivor who had the whipple 6 years ago, and nother person another 3 years ago, and both are doing great.  They are such an inspiration!  My mom is one of the 20% that make it this far and we continue to be very hopeful and optimistic.  I just can't seem to get an answer as to which doctor has the better opinion!
