My husband was dx with stage III NHL. It began so suddenly. 1/16/07. Large medistinal mass with other nodes in the chest involved, kidneys and bone. He has had a hip repair to prevent a fracture in feb.07 and hasnt recovered because now they believe there is more cancer in the hip that they didn't see. He has had a blood clot and had to be hospitalized for a week. In May hr developed a 107 temp because of pneumonia. He is on oxygen all the time. He is scared because of constant chest pain and breathlessness. DOc says there may be scar tissue from the mass causing his chest pain. He is so afraid and I am his wife and I am terrified. Does anyone have any advice, hope? We just got married last year. Please help us with anything.

do you know the type of NHL?.  There are over 20 different types.  A DLBCL is much different from a follicular lymphoma.

Hi,my husband was diagnosed with advanced stage lV NHL. We are young family. I like him to be around to help  raise up our  3 boys. I experienced fear of the unknown, it comes and goes. And It's O.K . I tried to be objective as a care giver  when it comes to treatments and therapy.  It is hard. NHL is treatable. My husband was given cyclophospomide; 'had very bad reaction, then here comes floudarabin; did not touch him. Finally, retuximab in single doses did help rerduced the size of tumors. My husband was 35 years old when he was diagnosed. He is now 43 years old. He is looking good and feeling good. He is back to full time work and a good father to our boys. I am doing a research on the long term side effect of each chemo therapy he had. He is experiencing muscle aches and mild weak ness sometimes; during winter he feel the aches like arthritic pain. The MD's don't know where it is coming from. Not cancer. 'Hope things go well with you.  I'm praying for you and your husband.
