In the past week my husband has been dia gnosed with glioblastoma multiforme. He has had surgery to remove some of it. We don't know if we will go the normal course of treatment. I am 40 he is 47 we have 6 children. I need him to live and I want to hear from anyone who has conquered this disease.

Read "Surviving Terminal Cancer " by Ben Williams- he is a true survivor and have your husband get care at Duke University- "where there is hope" You do not have to live there- treatment can be anywhere after the first consult. They gave my husband 3 months at the Mayo Clinic- - last August- he is better today- not cured but better. The book will help. Carla

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with a stage 3 GBM larger than a golfball.  I was having severe headaches.  I am 37 years old.  They operated immediately and had a very successful resection or removal.  I was back home after 2 days and currently have no symptoms of ever having a tumor.  I am already back to work.  I started radiation and chemotherapy last week and will continue for the next month and a half.  Although i wouldn't say that i have beat it yet...i am well on my way.  This can be beat!
