Hello-

My father has prostate cancer that has spread to the bones and his psa is 117 (that was last read in nov of 06) he is on a strict diet and has been on flax seed oil and cottage cheese diet - plus pomegrante juice etc.. doing everthing we can.  However he is starting to feel some pain here and there in his back and hips.  YOu mentioned that you took something via the immunotec website... did that really help?  Can you please explain and are you still doing well?  My father earlier last year till about late summer of 06 was on the nutrition 2000 protocal and it went down (his psa went too 2.9) but it slowly went up and now is at 117.  Can you let me know what you did and if you are still doing well and for how long.

Thank you

Sophia

I have ovarian cancer for 2 years now and for the last 2 months have been eating the flax oil and cottage cheese. I am doing this in conjuction with herbs and enzymes and chemo. I was wondering if anyone knows if the flax oil will work while also doing chemo? I would love to hear from anyone interested in responding.

Hi Chris:

I also have ovarian cancer and I was wondering how you are doing.  I was diagnosed with it about the time you made this posting but didn't read your posting until today.  Is the flaxseed and cottage cheese helping you?

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian cancer in May 2001. I have never even heard of flax seeds before I was diagnosed. I know someone who is a Stage 4 and takes flax seeds with cottage cheese regularly. She is a 4 year survivor with no recurrence. The flax seeds itself is a perfect food - one important component is the Omega-3 oil. The cottage cheese is for its protein. Used to be milk was recommended. I take mine with grounded peanuts or homemade peanut butter. Initially I took flax seeds because it is suppose to help with hot flashes, along with tofu. I believe it does.

Do you know the stage 4 patient had bone metastasis? or anybody knows stage 4 with bone meta used flax oil and cottage cheese successfully?

Thanks

I also am using cottage cheese with flax seed oil as well as other supplements and just making sure that I eat the proper veggies and fruits every day. There is one thing that was actually recommended to me by my doctor and that is HMS90 or Immunocal. Take a look at

www.immunotec.com/marjoe  and you will be impressed.

Hi,

Yes it metastasised to my bones. I recently had radiation to my spine & chest area for the largest tumors. It's been 2 weeks now and I think the radiation is finally leaving my body. I also started chemo with taxatear and prednezone every 3 weeks.

In the meantime I  eat cottage cheese with flax seed oil every day along with other supplements.

hms90/ immunocal & cell food and lots of veggies & fruits and honestly I have never felt better .....

I get a bone scan on April 25th and we shall see how I have progressed.

All the best to you & I hope you have a strong recovery !!

I bought my flax seed at my pharmacy in town that is now handling a lot of natural products.  Look up the closest health food store and you should be able to find the flax or the oil there.  I'm going to call and see if my pharmacist can get the oil.  I just read about the cottage cheese and flax today on a different topic (can't seem to find it again).  it said that the two together somehow bring more oxygen throughout your system.  I also heard it is not good for ovarian cancer so everyone should check with their doc first.

Hey, Partner.

I would be very interested in the link you mentioned; it wasn't listed in your message.  It may help me get a few answers as to what I can actually eat with the preparation, what I need to avoid in my diet, etc.

Thanks for the assist.

Blessings & Be Well!!

Schutzer.
