I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian cancer in May 2001. I have never even heard of flax seeds before I was diagnosed. I know someone who is a Stage 4 and takes flax seeds with cottage cheese regularly. She is a 4 year survivor with no recurrence. The flax seeds itself is a perfect food - one important component is the Omega-3 oil. The cottage cheese is for its protein. Used to be milk was recommended. I take mine with grounded peanuts or homemade peanut butter. Initially I took flax seeds because it is suppose to help with hot flashes, along with tofu. I believe it does.

Hi I was reading your message and just want to know how it's helped you because I have ovarian cancer.  This cottage cheese and flax seed - does it have to be mixed where it's mushed up or just mixed in well?

Chris G.   I am interested in anyone using chemo along with the flax oil and cottage cheese diet.  I am just starting out on both after a recurrence of ovarian cancer.  Can you give me examples of trying chemo and the oil/cottage cheese regimine?  Please help. Vicki

thanks charlene

The formula is with flaxseed oil.  I found it in the refrigerated section of the health food section of my grocery store.  You want to get the freshest oil there.  Keep it in the refrigerator.  The reason you use oil is that it mixes best with cottage cheese.  The sulferated protein in cottage cheese makes it useful for your body.  I find that if you mix it with salt and pepper it tastes good.

If you google flaxseed oil and cancer you will find many articles about it.  Johanna Budwig also wrote a book about it, which is in print.

I have been on this diet 16 days.  I feel more energetic.  I haven't had any tests since I started eating it, to know how good it is.

Hi all,

I too have heard the benefits of flaxseed oil but haven't tried it in oil form. I take 3-4 flaxseed capsules per day and use the flaxseeds in my cerial and yogurt etc. I am thinking of getting some oil to put  in my salads etc.

I haven't heard of the cottage cheese though.

Its all about getting the immune system as strong as possible so that when our cells start to go out of control it can fight them and stop them in their tracks.

I am very interested in anymore information anyone else hase.

Good luck to all of you

Roula

I have recently read some translations from Europe about Dr. Johanna Budwig in Germany. She recommends a combination of cottage cheese and flax oil (which she calls linseed oil) for cancer. From the articles and testimonials that I read, it almost seems to be too good to be true. I researched a little on the internet and found most of the information is from Europe. She has been working on this for 30 some odd years and I am just now hearing about it. I was wondering if anyone in the states had any experience with this or other similar methods.
