Thanks Beth.

I hope it helps.  Also read Keep the Faith to read all of what he went through and how everyone told us to expect the worse.  Chances of survival were slim.

I didn't.  I expected my miracle and I truly feel blessed. I will expect a miracle for your mom.  My love are prayers are with you.

We all have a common thread...bile duct cancer...but we are all so different at the same time....

Bile duct cancer is one bad boy....and that's the bottom line.  I cant allow to get my hopes up.  My plan for this journey is to keep on making my plans to "getaway" and be with the ones I love.  I will remain as positive as I possible can.

Regards,

Pam

What is TACE?  My husband will start on Xoleda next week, orally, then after radiation he will have IV chemo.  Thanks for any info.

My husband has cholangiocarcinoma, unfortunately he doest have that great attitude. He is bitter and angry.  He has a tumor (Bob) about 14 cm that now has some company. Chemo no worky ! We were sent home with "enjoy the  rest of yyour life"  but went to U W which has all sorts of ideas, TACE and ressection etc. We will find out about these choices this week.  So now that you planned how to die with some control, consider fighting real hard for treatment.  MD Anderson hosptal in Tx on cutting edge, but in your area there are probably lots of centers to consult with. And no 2 oncologists think alike. That is frustrating at best. You need to go out on a limb and take some risks and find  oncologists that are willing to go there.  Good luck !

Hello Everyone,

This is Pam's son David and I just wanted everyone to know that My mother has now passed away of the Bile Duct Cancer.  It was short lived and for any of you that have it spend as much time with love ones as you can.  My Mom was basically fine one day and a few days later she was bed bound and then couldnt talk and passed away on 08/24/2007. She made it 3 months 1 day from being told she had Bile Duct.  I thank you all for responding to my Mothers messages.  I remember she was thrilled that there were others out in this world with the rare Bile Duct Cancer. If any of you would like to talk with me please feel free to email me

David, I am so sorry to hear your mum passed away so soon. She was so full of spirit and strength. I have mailed to her a couple of times, as my husband Peter fights the same cancer. And I came to respect her for her attitude.

I hope you will keep loving memories of your very brave mother and wish you strength and all the best,

Iris.

My wife 48 is diagnosed with cholangio/gall bladder cancer one month ago at stage iv. consulted many surgeons and body would perform surgery secondary to large tumor masses in liver and local lymph nodes. I have not consulted Dr. Nissan at cedars-sinai yet. she is getting chemotherapy for three weeks. Please respond with any suggestions or thoughts.
