Melanoma Spread To Liver

My father had ocular melanoma diagnosed about 4-5 years ago.  He underwent the treatment and was doing well.  However, this week, it was confirmed that it has spread to a spot on his liver.  The doctors state it has not grown since January, but it was present...probably just starting but not fully developed.  I'm trying to help my parents find all the options and the best decisions.  We are also praying a lot.  If anyone has any information about this type of situation, such as who the best doctors are, what treatments give the best results, and hope.  HELP!

I am so sorry to hear about your father.  Just today I heard that my older sisters's ocular cancer spread to her liver and she must decide on 3 different treatments this week.  She is a teacher in the Chicago area and is seeing an oncologist there after seeing specialists in Boston over the past couple years for her eye.  They could not save her eyesight and had just been considering removal of the eye.  Now this.   Not sure where your father lives, but if I find out anything about my sister's treatment (one is new/experimental), I'll let you know.
