Hi, my husband also with stage iv cancer started chem last week, but ended up in the er due to his stent .. he had to have it replaced and it was infected in that area.  They are saying that maybe he should reconsider and not get chemo as they dont think it will help.  The choice is his and he is thinking what to do. Please keep me informed and if you hear of any other thing that has worked to shrink the tumors, please let me know.

Its very hard and I wish you the best of luck.

Hi Diane

I note that it was July 07 when you were posting on this site, so I do hope things have procressed well?

My husband was diagnosed with CGB  spread to his liver in July 07 also, the 1st doc told him to go home and die as there was nothing anyone could do for him.  We got a 2nd opinion and they operated removing his GB and 2 thirds of his liver, which has now grown back to its normal size, it was a very long recovery but he has made a pretty good one and is doing well at the moment.

I don't want to go on until I hear from you, I'm sure you understand.
